With ARTSHOES - INDÚSTRIA DE CALÇADO, LDA, the seller of record. ARTSHOES - INDÚSTRIA DE CALÇADO, LDA trades online under the name Verao. Both names refer to the same company, at the same address, with the same tax number.

Every price on this site is in US Dollars (USD). There is no currency switcher and no second currency anywhere — what you see is what is charged.

Prices include Portuguese VAT at 23% where it applies. For deliveries outside the European Union, import duties and local taxes are payable by the recipient on arrival and are not included in the total shown at checkout.

Every purchase is a one-off. There is no subscription, no membership tier, no loyalty points and no stored balance on this site. Nothing you buy renews.

Adding to the cart does nothing legally. At checkout you enter your details, review the order and then complete payment. The contract is formed when we confirm the order by email, not when you press the payment button.

If we cannot fulfil an order — a size sold out between your click and our confirmation, or the address is not one we can ship to — we tell you and refund in full. We do not substitute a different size or style without asking.

Crossed-out prices. When a previous price is shown struck through, that figure is the lowest price at which we sold the item during the 30 days before the reduction. If a price does not satisfy that test, no crossed-out figure is shown at all — including during end-of-season clearance.

First-order code. A single fixed welcome code applies to a first order, once per customer, on full-price items. It cannot be combined with another code and does not apply to the value of gift purchases.

Free shipping. Standard shipping is free on orders over USD 119, calculated on the order value after any discount and before shipping. Express shipping is always charged.

Sets. Every set is priced below the sum of the items it contains. If that ever stopped being true, the set would be withdrawn rather than sold at a fictional saving.

We currently ship to 44 countries, including all 27 European Union member states. The full list is the country dropdown at checkout — if a country is not in it, we cannot deliver there yet, and an order placed to such an address would be refunded.

We do not ship to freight forwarders or parcel-holding services, because the withdrawal and guarantee periods below cannot be administered through them.

Our products are footwear and footwear care preparations. The care liquids are ordinary consumer cosmetics-grade preparations, not dangerous goods, but some carriers restrict liquids on certain air routes; if that affects your order we will contact you before dispatch.

We dispatch within two working days. Where no delivery date has been agreed, the legal maximum is 30 days from the conclusion of the contract, and we hold ourselves to it. Estimated transit times per destination are on the shipping and returns page.

Every product page states the maximum instep height the style can hold in millimetres, the strap travel in centimetres where the style adjusts, the points at which that style is most likely to rub, an expected break-in period, and what barefoot wear does to the footbed.

Those statements are part of what you are buying. Rubbing that occurs within a break-in period we described is not a defect. A strap that snaps, a buckle that fails or a footbed that comes unglued is. The difference is set out with examples in the guarantee page and the fit and rubbing guide.

Payment is completed on the secure page of a licensed payment services provider. Card details are never entered on, transmitted to or stored by this website. See payment security for what that means in practice.

Yes — 14 days from delivery, without giving a reason, under the Portuguese right of free resolution. The conditions, including what counts as an acceptable indoor try-on, are on the free resolution page, together with the model withdrawal form.

The legal guarantee of conformity, 3 years from delivery under Portuguese law, with the presumption of non-conformity operating in your favour for the first 2 years. Details on the guarantee page.

For alternative dispute resolution, the competent entity for our registered seat is CICAP – Centro de Informação de Consumo e Arbitragem do Porto — https://cicap.pt/. Consumers resident elsewhere in the EU can find their national body through the European Commission directory. The Commission’s ODR platform closed permanently on 20 July 2025.

Portuguese law. Nothing in these conditions removes the mandatory consumer protections you enjoy under the law of your own country of residence within the European Union.
